Lean SCM Systems
Maintaining a really good SCM system takes a lot of design effort and a very proactive team. There are many canned systems on the market but the best systems seem to come from companies that colaborate with their software vendor. If inventory reductions and doing more with less human effort are on the agenda you really cannot afford to pick anything less than the perfect vendor and of course you want to implement the perfect solution.

With so amny SCM options on the market today the decision and investigation can be daunting. Do you stick with tried and true technologies like Oracle and SAP or do you innovate with a highly configurable system like Tuppas CRM?. Another new arrival on the CRM scene is the Saas option. Many companies are looking at a pay as you go option like the one offered by Demand ERP. Saas and conventional systems are generally fairly canned systems so you get all the power that a best practices system has to offer.
